Larch and Kingfishers Classes

Eric’s Home Learning Day 18

Make playdough using this recipe or one of your own:

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/playdough-recipe Have fun playing with the playdough that you have made. Playdough is also great for exploring fractions, e.g. dividing it into halves, quarters or thirds. You could also make caterpillars to explore measurement – who has the heaviest caterpillar? The longest caterpillar? Can you measure your caterpillar? Can you make a caterpillar longer than 15 cm? Heavier than 20g? You could also make some coat hanger balance scales, pegging a clear bag on each side of the coat hanger and hanging it on a door handle and then placing some playdough on either side to work out which is heaviest.
