Larch Class

Reciprocity, heroes and villains!

This week has been a busy week of learning in Elm.

We have been learning about myths and legends this week in English. We have been particularly focusing on villains and heroes. Today we did some role-play, and got to choose whether we wanted to be a hero or a villain. This is the villain team:

The villains decided that they wanted to mess up the classroom. Then the heroes had to step in and save the day!Heroes and villains role play (10) Heroes and villains role play (13) Heroes and villains role play (16) Heroes and villains role play (20) Heroes and villains role play (23) Heroes and villains role play (26) Heroes and villains role play (30) Heroes and villains role play (31) Heroes and villains role play (41)

We then wrote a story together:

‘Once upon a time there were some evil villains who smashed everything up in the room. The villains were fast, sneaky criminals! Then along came some strong, brave and helpful heroes. They reversed the mess and cleaned it up’.

We also did some work this week on reciprocity as part of Building Learning Power. We played some different team games where we had to work together.

What a mess those villains made in the classroom! I’m so glad the heroes came along and sorted it all out!
