Special Celebration at Winchester Cathedral 2014
We had a really lovely morning today at Winchester Cathedral. We joined Hampshire Music Service and other schools across Hampshire, in the Cathedral. Together, we celebrated the Nativity story through music, singing and sensory experiences. We had made our own Gingerbread biscuits to take with us to nibble on during the service – yummy!
It helped us to remember why we celebrate Christmas as well as getting us all in to the festive spirit. Everyone had their part to play in the celebration, even the parents and visitors! Some of us were quite nervous when it came to our ‘part’ of the celebration but we were all very brave and over came our fears. Well done to all our participants! Here is a list of the parts we had to play;
Chelsea – A beautiful Angel and a Ribbon Dancer
Charlie H – A very important Banner Bearer and a Ribbon Dancer
Billy – A very important Banner Bearer and a Shepherd
Sean – A very smiley Innkeeper and an even more smiley Symbol Bearer
Ben – A very important Symbol Bearer and a Shepherd
Taylor – A very important and generous King
Charlie O – A very important and generous King
Have a look at our photos of us in action;

You all look angelic in your costumes and I’m sure all the grown-ups were very proud of you!
