Science – Hot and Cold
In Science this half term, we have been looking at ‘hot and cold’. We have found out about temperature and how to measure temperature. We have also thought about how to keep things hot and cold and how temperature affects what we wear.
We have learnt what temperature makes water change from a liquid in to a solid – ‘ice’! We made our own coloured ice-pops so we could see how water can change in to a solid. Then we carried out an experiment to see how long it would take to melt the ice back in to a liquid. We found it took 7 and a half minutes!
Here we are carrying out our experiment and a short video clip of Charlie’s report;

What super scientists you are! Can you think of any other materials that can change from solid to liquid when they are heated?
