Larch and Kingfishers Classes

Rhubarb, Rhubarb, Rhubarb!

After the sunny weather last week, and then the rain, our crop of rhubarb has really come on in our school garden. We remembered how Alison at Durleighmarsh farm showed us how to harvest the rhubarb. We carefully cut the stalks and thought the big leaves were like umbrellas! We brought them into the classroom and had a go at sketching the stalks and leaves.

There was only one thing to do with the rhubarb – crumble!! We collected our ingredients and whizzed up a delicious rhubarb crumble, yum!

What fantastic cooks you all are- and good at gardening too! The crumble looks delicious. I wish I could have tasted some- it’s my favourite pudding!
