Larch and Kingfishers Classes

Our day at Dogmersfield House

Today we spent the day at Dogmersfield House near Hook. We had a walk around the grounds and played Chinese Whispers in a tree tunnel. We did a treasure hunt and found different types of flowers, leaves and minibeasts. We picked some flowers and took them to the classroom to do observational drawings. Some of the flowers we picked had strong smells. These were flowers from Rose plants and herbs such as chive. We found the duck pond. We sang songs and fed the ducks!

We stripped the flowers from dried lavender to make lavender bags. After lunch we played on the go-karts and planted lettuce seeds. We will see who has grown the biggest lettuce after the summer holidays! We had a great day and cannot wait to visit again in the Autumn term. Here are some photos we would like to share with you.
